AI Estimating · Paving & Sealcoating

Price The Driveway
From The Truck,
Or From The Address

Two ways to get to a number. Shoot the surface from where you're parked and let the AI write the estimate, or let the homeowner type their address on your website and have the drive measured from satellite imagery before you call them back. Either way the number is yours — your square footage, your tonnage, your margins.

On-site quote

Live today

You're parked in the driveway

You're already looking at it. Shoot the surface, add the couple of things only a paver standing on it would know, and the estimate writes itself before you pull out.

  • Photograph the whole surface: the apron, the garage tie-in, the low spots, the edges and wherever it's alligatored
  • Type or say what a photo can't tell it: base condition, drainage, how the truck gets in, remove or overlay
  • It measures the area, reads what's failing, and writes the line items
  • Removal and install come out as separate lines, with haul-off and tipping fees already on
  • You change what you want and text it to the homeowner before you're off the street

Best for: the drive you're parked on. Soft base, standing water and a truck that can't get round the back are things you have to see, and nothing sends until you've read it.

Instant measure, on your website

Early access

The homeowner does it themselves

A form on your own site. The homeowner types their address and has their driveway measured on the spot, while your crew is laying mat across town. What they don't get is a number from a robot — the price still comes from you.

  • They enter their address and the few basics only they know: new, resurface or sealcoat, asphalt or concrete, is the old one coming out
  • Their driveway is found and traced from satellite and aerial imagery — surface area, the apron, the walkway and the parking pad round the back
  • They see their own drive measured on screen in under a minute — 940 square feet, plus the apron and the walkway — which is more than the other two pavers' contact forms gave them
  • The lead lands with you with the measurement already attached, so you call back quoting off real square footage instead of asking how big their driveway is
  • Whether a price goes out with it is your call, not ours: measurement only, a range you approve first, or an instant range. It ships set to send nothing until you've seen it

Best for: season. Forty people call in a week, you can't drive to all of them, and a driveway is the one surface overhead imagery measures almost perfectly.

Mode 1 is running in the product today. Mode 2 — the instant measure that sits on your own site — is in build, and we're taking a small group of paving contractors into early access to shape it around real driveways, including how much of a price they want going out. Ask about it on the call.

It measures a driveway the way you'd wheel itNot a generic model guessing at your trade

Surface by surface

The drive, the apron, the walkway and the pad behind the garage traced separately, so an add-on stays an add-on instead of disappearing into one square-foot number.

Remove or overlay

Reads the surface for alligatoring, edge failure and settlement, and flags which way the job should go — you make the call, but it's on the estimate either way.

Access and the tie-in

Where the truck can actually reach, the slope up to the garage door, the curb cut and the apron the city cares about. The details that turn a half-day into a full one.

The things that get forgotten

Haul-off and tipping fees, the extra granular when the base is soft, the minimum load, and mobilization on a drive too small to be worth the float.

Every driveway you've measured is next year's routeSealcoat is the work you sell once and drive every season

  • Every drive you've paved is already measured, so the sealcoat quote is one click instead of another visit
  • Price a whole street from the addresses before anyone knocks on a door
  • Quotes go out as a route, not one at a time — the day is planned before the first yes comes back
  • Crack fill stays where it belongs: measured on site at the first stop, added as its own line
  • Next season the whole list re-prices at your new rates without re-measuring a thing

One driveway a year more than covers it. In season, most paving contractors get it back in the first week they stop driving across town to quote.

What paving contractors ask first

Can it tell a removal from an overlay?

It flags which way the surface is pointing — alligatoring, edge failure, settlement, patching that's already failed — and you make the call. The flag goes on the estimate either way, so the homeowner can see why you priced it the way you did.

The base is where I lose money. Does it help?

Only by asking you. Base condition is one of the few things we make you confirm rather than assume, because nothing overhead or in a photo can see a foot down. What it does do is carry your answer into the granular quantity and the price, instead of leaving it as a number you hold in your head.

Does the homeowner get a price without me?

Not unless you switch it on. Area is the part overhead imagery does best — a driveway is a flat surface with hard edges, close to the ideal case — but it can't see the base, the drainage or the truck access, and that fork is most of the money. So out of the box they get the measurement and you get the lead. If you want a price going out, you can send a range spanning overlay through full removal with its assumptions printed underneath, or have it wait for your approval first. Three settings, and the safe one is the default.

What if it's a drive it can't read properly?

Then it says so instead of guessing. Bad or out-of-date imagery, a drive under heavy tree cover, standing water you can see from the air, anything that reads like a repair or a drainage job rather than a resurface — it tells the homeowner the drive needs eyes on it and offers them a time. You still get the lead. And if you've turned pricing on, anywhere it's unsure it leans high, because the cheap surprise is the one that costs you the job.

What stops it quoting a number I'd never charge?

Your price book. Per square foot by depth and mix, removal rate, granular, tipping fees, mobilization, minimum job — you load them once and every estimate comes out of them. It never invents a rate.

Does it do commercial lots?

It measures them fine — a lot is just a bigger surface, and line striping and catch basins can go on as their own lines. But commercial work usually comes with specs and a tender, and that's a different exercise than pricing a residential drive from imagery. Residential is where it earns its keep today.

Do I have to switch everything over?

No. Estimating is one part of the system. The website, missed-call text back, reviews and invoicing are there when you want them and ignored when you don't.
